Please note the Society Sales are for paid up members only. Please avoid us having to chase you for £25 on the day.

The rams are sold in guineas [one pound and five pence] and will have an upset price of usually 200gns but this can be altered if discussed and agreed with ram vendors on the day. Ram lambs and senior rams may be less than 200gns.

The auctioneer should annnounce the upset price before the start of the sale. If you arrive late ask the staff or a Society representative what it is.

Vendors, if you have a price in mind make the auctioneer aware of this so he knows what you want for your stock. Keep your eyes on the auctioneer as he will be wanting to know if the price he has is acceptable so he can put down the hammer. If he gets to 190gns and he takes it no further he hasn't had a bid. You can arrange to sell after the main sale but you must put it through the Mart as you are doing the deal on the Mart's premises.

When attending a sale please make yourself aware of the Auction Marts terms and conditions as they will conduct the sale and it is they who you pay.
