An excellent show of strong, well shed and correctly presented sheep greeted buyers from all over the UK on Saturday 23rd September at the Society's annual breeding sale.

Females of all ages found homes to start new flocks or increase existing ones.

Sale Report from Worcester


The strong feature of the Easycare Sheep Society’s Annual Sale at Worcester was Yearling Rams which were hotly contested throughout and peaking at 1,400gns.

The top price went to a MyoMax Gold carrier from longtime breeders JE & MS Davies and secured by O. Brayne, High Peak, Derbyshire.

Another four figure price went to JD Davies & Co for an April born Yearling at 1,050gns to JM & VJ Howard, Holmfirth, Yorks, and another strong yearling at 820gns to Glentham Farming, Lincoln.

HV & MW Thomas had a strong consignment of MyoMax Gold and Silver all of which found favour from a strong company of buyers and topped at 850gns to D. Cliff & Son, Grantham, Lincs.

WG & MO Davies also enjoyed some of the action with 820gns topping their entry and taken by Mrs JC Hewitt, Sissinghurst, Kent.

Yearling Ewes were closely followed and peaked at £130 twice for pens from GH Roper to AR Brittain, Nuneaton, Warks and from D. Prosser to S. Banks, Ripon, Yorks.
