This will probably be my last letter as your secretary. I have had a lot of head scratching and a lot of pleasure writing them over the past 12 years. I have certainly learned to appreciate the work of those who churn articles out to various publications on a regular basis.
The next AGM and annual open day will be the most important one yet in the society history as I have indicated I intend to hand over the reins to others. I did ask for suggestions from members but only 3 have been returned. However, the 3 are very much on the same lines and no doubt when we gather at the AGM we shall hopefully be in a position to formulate the plan for the future of the society.
I wll write this slowly so you can all digest the details. The AGM is at my home Glantraeth, Bodorgan, Anglesey, LL62 5EU on Saturday 20th June at 9.30am prompt. This will be for members and prospective members and will be chaired by John Thomas of Cardiff who we visited for our open day a few years ago.
We have allowed 2 hours so as not to rush things before moving on to the Open Day at 11.30 on Richard and Caroline Owen's farm Trefri, Bodorgan, Anglesey LL62 5LT (about 4 miles away) which of course will be open to all.
Our hotel is 'The Carreg Bran', Llanfair PG, Anglesey LL61 5YH Tel 01248 714224 (very close to the Britannia bridge) Double or twin rooms are at a discounted rate of £80 per room B&B with our annual dinner on the Saturday night at £25 per head. Remember to tell them you are with the 'Easy Care Sheep group', if you have problems please contact me.
